# 64

Just a few years ago, hydrogen was considered the gas of the future. Brandenburg in particular relied on hydrogen as a sustainable energy source and thus on the vision of preserving its identity as an energy region despite the phase-out of coal. But the expansion is slow and some voices declare the hype to be over again. What's it got? And how important is hydrogen really for an ecologically and socially sustainable energy transition? This will be discussed by Nora Noll and Neelke Wagner, Climate Policy Officer at PowerShift.
