Hydrogen is an important energy storage and raw material, for example for climate-neutral steel production. There is a whole color theory of green, blue, pink and gray hydrogen. While green hydrogen can be produced in a climate-neutral manner, blue hydrogen is often referred to as a climate-friendly energy source. In fact, blue hydrogen is to be produced from natural gas and could put a real energy transition at risk. Why he is still so popular, our moderator Antonia Vangelista talks to Neelke Wagner, who works at PowerShift on climate and resource justice. We also hear from Aled Fisher, a speaker at Oil Change International in Norway, how German demand for blue hydrogen is affecting Norway's natural gas exit.
