Our world stands on steel feet. We need steel for cars, high-rise buildings, wind turbines, trains and public infrastructure. But the German steel industry is faltering, due to high energy prices, high US tariffs on steel products and cheap steel from China. How can the transformation of the steel industry succeed in this difficult situation towards green steel? What has decarbonisation failed so far? And should the EU better protect its steel industry? Nora Noll talks about this with Thomas Fritz, Head of Trade and Investment Policy at PowerShift.
