It has been negotiated for 25 years. Now the EU-Mercosur agreement is entering the hot phase. The trade agreement is due to go to the EU Council for ratification in September, after which it could enter into force soon – and thus extremely boost the export of pesticides to Mercosur countries Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay.
