German and European raw materials policy urgently needs new strategies and paradigms in order to be sustainable and do justice globally. People from international civil society, politics, trade unions and academia discussed exactly how this should be done in Berlin in October 2024. On October 10, the Working Group on Raw Materials invited to the Raw Materials Summit, as part of the annual Alternative Raw Materials Week with nationwide actions. PowerShift co-organized and co-discussed the Raw Materials Summit. Vanessa Fischer from the raw materials team was also there. In this episode, she tells our moderator Antonia Vangelista about her highlights from the summit and also has a few statements from the podium guests in her luggage.
