Compass World Economy To Go: The National Circular Economy Strategy

# 60.3
PowerShift Podcast Cover image Garbage on lawn

For effective climate protection, we must reduce the consumption of raw materials and operate them in a circular manner by reusing raw materials. The traffic light government has recognised this in recent years and adopted the National Circular Economy Strategy in December 2024. This strategy, NKWS for short, is intended to help ensure that the quality of raw materials and products is maintained for as long as possible, that materials are used sparingly and that they remain in circulation for a long time. After the federal elections, we at PowerShift look at the goals of the NKWS and what measures the new federal government should implement in order to actually get closer to these goals.
