We are co-signatories of the civil society appeal of East German and Berlin development policy organizations.
We want to position ourselves unequivocally and clearly: Exclusion, chauvinism and racism are at odds with our core values and principles of human rights, dignity, solidarity and social justice. We oppose all those who foment hatred and prejudice. We show solidarity with all those affected by discrimination, racism and exclusion. This includes people who live in poverty or are excluded because of their sexual orientation, religion and identity. Solidarity means recognising that all different experiences of discrimination must be "considered" and combated in order for a society based on solidarity to be possible. Only when this happens can exclusion and discrimination be effectively countered.
