WG Trade of the Forum Environment and Development

In 1993, shortly after the founding of the Forum Umwelt & Entwicklung, the Federal Ministry of Economics invited German NGOs to a round table discussion on the topics of GATT and the Uruguay Round as well as the OECD debates on trade and development. In the run-up to this meeting, the invited NGOs decided to set up a working group.

In the future, this should serve as a link in trade issues between civil society and the government and be connected to the Forum for Environment and Development. At present, the activities of AG Handel are designed and supported by around 15 active members as well as 30 passive members.
