Civil society calls for transparency in EU-US negotiations
An alliance of 20 civil society organisations has written to Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and Trade Commissioner-designate Phil Hogan. In it, the signatories call for the ongoing talks between the EU Commission and the US government on transatlantic trade relations to be transparent. In particular, the discussions on Regulatory cooperation Focus on areas where important public protection functions should be excluded from the outset.
