Stop special actions, defend room for manoeuvre

With your donation, you support PowerShift in making ISDS special rights lawyers visible and building political pressure for their abolition. ISDS is much more than a technical detail in commercial law: it enables corporations and investors to sue states before private arbitration courts – putting climate protection, social standards and democratic decisions under pressure.

PowerShift researches these mechanisms, makes their consequences public and contributes them to political debates. With independent analyses, media work and targeted advocacy, we are committed to removing ISDS from agreements and defending democratic room for manoeuvre.

Your tax-deductible donation enables exactly this work: independent research, comprehensible education and political pressure for a fairer, more democratic and climate-friendly policy.

I support PowerShift because it connects global trade and raw materials mining with pollution, human rights violations and climate change, researches very committedly and competently, and makes them public. I also appreciate that PowerShift makes reference to consumption in Germany and the wealthy and shows solutions. The fact that these references are brought to the public with facts is very important to me.

I like to support PowerShift because people with different backgrounds work together based on goals and values. I was able to develop this impression early on as a catalyst for the round table on renewable energies (www.energiewende-2030.de). In my opinion, the results of PowerShift, which I am familiar with, are technically well-versed and can provide decision-makers with suitable assistance.

I donate to a solidarity-environmental world economy because I want a good life for all people - especially for all children - not only for the children of the over 3,000 billionaires with $11 trillion, whose wealth has grown by $3.3 trillion worldwide since 2020.

We work transparently

PowerShift supports the Transparent civil society initiative. The initiative has defined ten fundamental points that any civil society organisation should make available to the public.
