Together with BUND Berlin, Berliner Energietisch, the Landesverband Berlin der Naturfreunde and Klimaneustart Berlin, we are organizing the Heat Summit Berlin. Because the course for our future heat supply is now being set: Do we continue to rely on expensive imports of fuels that are often extracted elsewhere in the world under environmental degradation? Or do we reduce our heat demand and make the most of our own heat and energy sources? Do we put climate protection and affordability first? Or are we still dependent on fossil fuels? How do we get on the right track?
The heat summit is intended to bring together the expertise and voices of Berlin's city society and find common answers.
Currently under waermegipfel.berlin Demands on the following three main topics discussed and collected:
- Local heating policy and decentralised citizen energy
- Climate protection in district heating
- Social heat transition
The Lamapoll survey tool is available at waermegipfel.berlin the possibility to vote for or against the individual claims, to propose amendments or to register new claims that are still missing. There will be a workshop on each topic at the heat summit and, at the end, a panel discussion with the top candidates at which they can take a stand on the demands.
