Latin America is rich in raw materials that are central to the global energy transition

– from lithium to copper to green hydrogen. At the same time, many countries in the region are facing profound
social and political challenges. The energy transition can be a catalyst for sustainable development

It is a new driver of social inequality.

Countries such as Chile, Bolivia, Argentina and Colombia show different strategies, conflicts and potentials.

What geopolitical interests are involved? How can a just transition be achieved?
And what role do international actors – including Germany – play in this area of tension?
The event aims to analyse regional developments and make global contexts visible.

Podiumsteilnehmer:innen
