The supply chain law is in jeopardy...
The Supply Chain Act protects people worldwide from exploitation – and the environment from destruction. It has been in force in Germany since 2023, followed by the EU Directive in April 2024. But now there is a threat of regression: The new federal government wants to weaken the law. At EU level, it is working with other governments and lobby groups to de-nuclearise the directive in key areas. The political wind has
turned. Now the law needs our support.
... but everything is still in it: Now our commitment counts!
Nothing is lost yet. In the coalition agreement, the Federal Government is committed to implementing the EU Directive – the German Supply Chain Act should therefore not be abolished, but replaced. And this offers opportunities: The new EU directive goes in part further than German law and can protect human rights, the environment and the climate even more effectively. Now it is important that it does not dilute,
but is being implemented forcefully – in a strong German supply chain law.

No profits without conscience – protect human rights and the environment!
Dear Chancellor,
One of the most important achievements for human rights, climate and environmental protection in recent decades is at risk: the Supply Chain Act. It contributes to the fight against child labour, protects workers from exploitation and protects our nature from ruthless destruction.

But now you want to reverse this success and prevent an effective supply chain law. This threatens a relapse into a world of
recklessness, in which human suffering and environmental degradation are seen as a competitive advantage.

We ask you to: Defend an effective supply chain law – in Germany and Europe.

Show that economic gain and responsibility go hand in hand. For a sustainable economy based on values, not on the right of the stronger.
