The EU fails to meet its self-imposed targets of increasing the circularity rate to 24 percent. It currently only reaches half. This means that 88 percent of the products are deposited, incinerated, kept in drawers, exported or illegally disposed of. Meanwhile, countries like China are stepping up their efforts for a circular economy and the EU is threatening to fall behind.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The European Commission has now announced a Circular Economy Act for this year, which offers the unique opportunity to make circularity the basic principle of a new European economy! An economy that combines economic prosperity and industrial strength with durable products, intelligent resource use, repair, reuse and closed material cycles.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In this webinar, we will discuss the expectations of politics, business and civil society regarding the Circular Economy Act: How can the circular economy become the new guiding principle of our economic policy? What would this actually change in companies and in the markets? What policy frameworks and incentives are needed for this? And how can a Circular Economy Act create orientation and commitment?<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We want to show: A circular economy is not only necessary, but also a policy-making option for a good, modern and more resilient Europe.<\/span><\/p>\n
