But the prenuptial agreement, also known as the EU-Mercosur trade agreement, not only triggers cheering storms. For years, connoisseurs of this unequal relationship have expressed environmental, climate and human rights concerns. Farmers want to boycott the wedding. Trade union movements in the EU and South America speak of a \"death sentence for good jobs\". The European Consumer Protection Association criticises inadequate standards. It seems that this marriage is made primarily out of geopolitical interests and in the interests of large corporations. The new federal government, on the other hand, congratulates in advance and wants to put its signature under the contract as soon as possible. But what exactly is signed there?
