PowerShift is committed to democratic trade, investment, energy and raw materials policies and<\/strong> accountable to shaping<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Our work lives on careful<\/strong> analysis. Equally important to us<\/strong> the trust of people and organisations, with whom<\/strong> we work together.<\/p>\n

That's why we make it transparent<\/strong>, how we use artificial intelligence (AI) and where we consciously draw boundaries. In doing so, we are guided by the requirements of the European AI Act.<\/p>\n

What we use AI for<\/h2>\n

AI applications support us in individual work steps. These include, for example:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • research;<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • structuring information and texts,<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • linguistic revision of texts;<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • translations;<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • data analysis and<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • organisational tasks.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    AI is a tool for us. It does not replace our technical analysis or our political assessment.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    What we don't use AI for<\/h2>\n

    We do not use AI to people<\/strong> lead astray.<\/p>\n

    The following principles apply in particular to our work:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • For PowerShift releases, AI is just a tool.<\/li>\n
    • We do not attribute invented quotes or statements to real people.<\/li>\n
    • We do not create photorealistic AI images of real people or events.<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • We do not create synthetic sound or video recordings of real people or events, which can be confused with real recordings (\u2018deepfakes\u2019).<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • We give artificially generated content<\/strong> not as documentary evidence.<\/li>\n
    • We do not fake independent civil society voices.<\/li>\n
    • We do not invent statements of affected communities.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Responsibility Remains with Humans<\/h2>\n

      For all content that PowerShift<\/strong> publishes, submits or sends; wearing<\/strong> Our employees have the responsibility. This also applies if<\/strong> AI helped create it.<\/p>\n

      We adopt results from AI applications<\/strong> Not unchecked.<\/p>\n

      Before publishing, we check in particular:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      • facts and figures,<\/strong><\/li>\n
      • Sources and quotations, and<\/strong><\/li>\n
      • technical and legal assessments.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        For this we use the underlying original sources.<\/strong> An AI system itself is not a scientific or journalistic source for us.<\/p>\n

        We have a binding guideline for the internal handling of AI. All employees are guided by this guideline and are trained in how to use AI.<\/strong><\/p>\n

        Labelling and transparency<\/h2>\n

        When we use AI-generated or AI-modified content, We will mark them if such marking is required.<\/strong><\/p>\n

        For texts that of people<\/strong> content checked and editorially responsible, we waive usually<\/strong> to a separate AI marking<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

        Significantly supportive use of AI: For example,<\/strong> for large-scale translations or transcriptions \u2013 we do this transparent<\/strong>, if it is objectively necessary or agreed.<\/p>\n
