Multiplier workshop: Solar panels – eco-friendly and fair!
December 5 @ 17:00 - 20:00
Take the initiative for a responsible solar industry!
There is no doubt that the expansion of solar energy is absolutely necessary. Nevertheless, there are human rights and environmental challenges in the industry that cannot be overlooked, especially forced labour in Xinjiang, which plays a role in many solar supply chains.
On behalf of the districts of Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg and Mitte, PowerShift invites you to a workshop to strengthen responsibility and transparency in the solar industry. In it, we want to talk to each other and show ways to better classify companies in terms of their social and environmental responsibility. The aim of the workshop is to enable the participants to make informed purchasing decisions themselves or to inform others about them and then to hold their own inputs in which they inform interested parties about risks and approaches to action. The event is therefore aimed at actors in the solar sector who play a role, for example, in consulting, research, knowledge exchange or networking, but is also open to other interested parties.
Further information on the event can be found at Website of the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg District Office.
